The Avaya IP Office 412 provides a fully converged Voice and Data solution for the medium to larger sized office.
With a more powerful call processing engine and greater internal data transfer capability the IP Office 412 is the most suitable of the IP Office range for meeting the needs of the small contact centre or businesses with a CRM focus. The Avaya IP Office 412 differs from the IP Office 406 by providing a greater trunk expansion capability of up to four PRI trunks. Note: A data channel is used whenever a call is made from the IP network to an exchange line (Central Office). For example, four people surfing the Internet will use a single data channel since they all share the same line to the ISP. Two people remotely accessing the Office LAN from home will use two data channels since they have dialled in on separate lines. IP extensions do not use data channels.
Optional internal upgrades allow for the support of up to 12 x V.90 modem calls and two 4, 8, 16, 24 or 30 channel Voice Compression Modules (VCM). Fitted with two 30 channel voice compression modules, 60 simultaneous voice over IP sessions can be supported. These can be used for either providing networking between sites over a wide area network or supporting IP Telephones and Soft phones. Typically an IP extension only uses a compression module channel when starting a call and while on a call to a non-IP extension/line. It is possible to configure more IP extensions than the capacity of the installed VCM.
The Avaya IP Office 412 can be expanded by 12 Expansion Modules, however this is restricted to a maximum capacity of 360 analogue, digital or IP phones.
